Benchmarking
APN members have access to a bespoke online benchmarking toolkit, which collects, collates, analyses and reports information from across the sector.
Members can then view their own key performance indicators and their position relative to other members, with members’ data remaining confidential at all times.
Statistics are formally reported quarterly, although members have monthly access to the data.
This benchmarking service has proved valuable to members' Management Teams when confirming strategy to the market overall.
Health & Safety
The APN has a Health & Safety Forum Group made up of the H&S representatives of each member network. The group meets quarterly to analyse H&S issues and trends and to discuss working practices.
Members report each month any accidents that have taken place in the laid out categories, this data is valuable and allow the Group to have open discussion for continuous sector improvement of health & safety standards.
The Group undertakes to discuss topics within the sector and to launch projects leading to Poster campaigns for members.

It also participates in National Forum Groups where it works alongside other freight, transport and logistics organisations such as the RHA and VOSA to discuss and deliver a number of initiatives.
Current Affairs
The APN has close links with the Road Haulage Association, and is regularly asked to contribute to economic issues affecting the road haulage industry.
